How would you feel if you got this in the mail? Okay ignore the part about becoming an Alabama recruit. I feel like if I were trying to decide between schools, and I got this arrogant letter. I’ll pass Nick. Or maybe I’ll say yes, then leave and disappoint a team?

Inside Report: Pretty hilarious article that shows what would happen if certain college football rivals switched hair…The Battle of the Unis has now moved into the semis…Found one last version of gloves that Wisconsin football will wear next season…Johnny Manziel threw out the first pitch for the Padres last night, and he got a personalized jersey to throw the pitch. On the sleeve, they added the Heisman Trophy, pretty sweet.

Cute or Nauseating?

I gotta admit, I think Chris “Birdman” Anderson might be one of the most terrifying/ugliest person on the planet. I’m okay with tattoos, but come on dude. So when I first saw the picture above, I sighed and kept scrolling. But then I saw it again and realized that the kid is kinda cute dressed up as Birdman. But it’s definitely still a little scary.

Inside Report: Some sweet golf shoes for the Oregon women’s golf team were unveiled yesterday…Wounded Warriors has now spread from football to baseball, starting with Wichita State and Boston College…Another colorway for Wisconsin football’s gloves next year…The NHL released the Stadium Series logo for New York, which is the same as the Chicago logo…The runners who weren’t able to finish the marathon because of the events at the finish line received their medals through the mail…Big Papi is selling special bats to raise money for OneFund, a charity for victims of the marathon bombings, and one style has his infamous line from his speech at Fenway, “This is our F@#%ing City!”…The Battle of the Unis has moved into the third round…Bleacher Report had a countdown of the 30 Worst Special Edition Jerseys yesterday. I agree with most, but there are some sweet unis in there…ESPN released the new look of the SportsCenter set coming in 2014 and it is a doozy. It’s massive and has 5 sets in one! Pretty sweet…Hey guess what!…Another Cincinnati hat, that’s what!

Boy it must be nice to be Phil Jackson. Pictured above are the 13 rings he has one during his career. Unbelievable. I can’t even imagine what to do with 13 huge rings like that. I thought having one ring was sweet.

Inside Report: Alabama football has received their rings for winning the National Championship last year…The Twins and Brewers showed off their throwback uniforms they will be wearing May 30th…Is your interest in Cincinnati hats getting a bit cold? Well now you can warm it up!…Bob Ley shared a hilarious letter he received…All Oregon sports still underway have added a decal in memory of tennis player Alex Rovello…Round 2 of the voting for the best uniform in baseball has started…The Big Ten Network is having a vote for the best football helmet in the Big Ten…Sully sent in the Auburn infield that now has the logo cut into it, which is pretty sweet, and he also sent in another design for the gloves Wisconsin football will wear next season.

In the middle of the “Sacramento moving to Seattle” fiasco, here’s Kevin Durant wearing a Seattle Supersonics hat pregame. Pretty interesting and gutsy.

Inside Report: The Mavericks are offering a chance to design a new uniform for them. The most interesting part of the offer, is that they make not even pick a winner. Weird…The Jaguars said they weren’t going to use the new helmets until preseason camp, but the rookies were wearing the new lids yesterday…I know we haven’t updated this in a while, but I found another new Cincinnati hat! This is the players’ travel hats, which I didn’t know was a thing…UniWatch created a bracket for MLB uniforms, and you can vote here…Sully sent in a Wisconsin sideline hat that has impact camo! Yay! Ugh…

Throwbacks for Mom

Yesterday, of course, was Mother’s Day. If I’m just breaking the news to you, well, have fun at dinner tonight. I hope all the moms, and especially my mom, had a great Mother’s Day. With Mother’s Day comes pink gear. Here’s a few of the pink items: Obviously, as you can see above, the MLB had pink bats. Normally, lots of companies create pink bats, but not this year. Wow…The bases had a pink tag on the side…The MLB also had pink cleats, including Adidas and Under Armour…If you have pink shoes, then you gotta have pink gloves!…I assume everyone used them, but I only know the White Sox for sure had pink lineup cards…Everyone had a pink ribbon on their jersey…There was also the usual sweatbands, but since pitchers can’t wear sweatbands, they wore pink necklaces…Bryce Harper went alllll out pink.

Inside Report: West Virginia debuted their camo jerseys this weekend. Whoa…Deadspin released an infographic detailing the highest paid public employee, and almost all are college coaches…Andy Reid had a house sale this weekend, and it included his 5XL shorts. Damn…Had enough Cincinnati sideline caps? That’s what I thought!…Sully sent in a picture of the Bills installing the headset into the rookie QB helmets and UCF baseball putting the numbers of their seniors around home plate.

Maxim included Manti Te’o's girlfriend in their annual “Maxim’s Hottest List”. Pretty great choice, seeing as I probably wouldn’t know 90 of the 100.

Inside Report: MLB will be using pink stitched baseballs this year for Mother’s Day…This might be the worst Ohio State shirt I’ve ever seen. You have “The” in front of your school name. WE GET IT. Guess what? Every single college has that, so please just stop…Notre Dame has added the ACC wordmark to their basketball court…Sully sent in a few more items today: Another Cincinnati sideline hat, but with impact camo. Uh oh…The gold chrome helmets for Baylor arrived yesterday.

That picture above is from the Edens Expressway, which actually runs right by my house. This was put up on Tuesday after the Bulls beat the Heat in game 1. On Wednesday, they (luckily) switched it to just a regular “Go Bulls”. But did you notice Nate Robinson? Hilarious.

Another uniform update, this time from UCF. They didn’t change much with their jerseys, but they added a black jersey. They also added a black helmet, but the gold will be more like the gold on the helmet on the right. A couple more pictures here.

Inside Report: Justin Turner and Ike Davis wore Ovi Sucks shirts to support the Rangers in their series against Washington. I love when teams support the other sports in their city…My Packers will wear their 1929 throwbacks again next year…Wyoming football will have a new field design next year. So apparently twitter hashtags are out, and mountains are in?…My White Sox played the Mets these past two days, and on Tuesday, Matt Harvey got a bloody nose mid-start. The next inning he had it all plugged up…My boss Mike gave me the heads up about a new NCAA rule that won’t allow having the same color number as your jersey. This could affect a lot of teams…Sully sent in a few items including: LSU softball wore light blue helmets to support cancer…He also sent in the sideline cap for Cincinnati for next year, and yesterday I found a picture of the visor.
